I've been asked what color to knit these pieces. That's your choice! Jill has made color change suggestions, but you can work your own variation if you'd like. It's your knitting. Keep in mind that this is designed to be worn over your Italian Tee or some piece of clothing.
One of my colors is Sunflower, which is a fabulous color I am drawn to but wouldn't usually knit or wear. For that reason, I'm using it as my main color in Bit of Italy as it won't be near my face (that said and I haven't even started. . . I just looked at Jill's pic and thought maybe I could use if for the accent). We'll actually be creating the yokes in Tuscany (under the grape arbor, with or without a glass of wine, listening to the birds, casting our eyes on the flowers in the garden. . .) so you can select color there that will look best against your skin. I will say no more about that, but you don't have the yarn for that part and we'll have some good color selections!
I like an opportunity to experiment with color in new ways. Being handed a set colorway of yarn presents a fun challenge to get outside our color boxes. You may discover new ways of looking at color in doing this project.
