How will we get all this knitting done?

This is a cross post and relevant to those attending the knitting workshop weeks:

Susan Ross emailed me: "Should we finish the tee (sweater) first before we start on the vest? Do we need to finish one or both before arriving in Italy? That seems a bit daunting at this point!! "

My response (and this pertains mostly to the people traveling to Italy) "Do what you can. The Tee can be finished anytime. The vest will be put together in Italy, so if you can get those components done, that's the priority. There's still plenty of time and we aren't the knitting police!"

I would add that if you are stuck and want to get unstuck, let us know. We can only provide assistance if we know what the issues are. We want you to be successful with this project!

For me, I am knitting the Italian Tee and have 1.5 sleeves done. I have cast on for my body and am on row 11. Obviously, I have a long way to go, but it's mostly mindless knitting (which, I have to admit, I have not been in the mood for). If it's not done by the time I get to Italy, I won't be wearing it. However, I do like reachable personal goals and I do plan to have it done by then. It helps if I hide my other projects! I will have my vest ready.
