I decided to spend this holiday weekend knitting in Italy.......I completed my BOI last week and worked on the Knot most of Friday and Saturday (about 10 hours) as I decided to do the 5 repeats of the pattern. It's done! You'll see that I did the BOI in a solid color and I used circulars (size 12 and 16). I wanted to have a more 'classic' look to the vest - if that is even possible!!
For the knot, I repeated the color from BOI. I am SO happy these are done and am now working on the garlic and vines project in the teal. I felt compelled to spend as much time as possible on these projects because now I have to shift and begin work on an afghan for my granddaughter's birthday in early August. And, oh, another block in my favorite slip stitch - so much knitting!
I have finally started the Tee and am working on my first sleeve - it's boring knitting, so something to do when I don't have to think to much.
Thanks Jill and Susan for inspiring us. I've learned a few new stitches and techniques too!

Both your knot and BOI look great Deb! Isn't it exciting how different the sections look depending on whether you do solid or 1-2 color combinations. I started the knot this weekend, but I ended up getting side tracked by fireworks and bar-b-ques! :)
