response to bit of intarsia question
I carried my contrasting colors around the entire round. As long as you are careful not to pull too tightly, it works fine. It looks something like a spider web on the back. If the yarn you carry isn't loose it will pucker and you won't be able to flatten the piece later. Hope that helps. Susan in Sonoma

Susan, I did by Bit of Italy the same way you did. Yes it does look like a spider web on the back but it worked fine for me too. How far have you gotten on the garlic and vines? (I just stopped on the Knot for it seems to have too many mistakes and I just can't keep taking it out) The only problem rows you have come across on the garlic and vines are 35,36 and 38? And did you mean that the written directions are all okay? Thanks, Mary Jane
