Did Susan mention (either here on in the shop) that there's an Internet cafe in the village? Unfortunately, I may be teaching an online class that will run until 10/5, and I will need to check in at least once a day through 10/5, and then file grades sometimes during the week. The class may not go, but I want to be prepared just incase it does. I will have my laptop with me -- just need the wifi.
Anyone know? Susan?
Thanks, Linda

There is Internet access, and a computer, across the street at Il Rondo, which is open long hours. You can sip a coffee, soda or alcoholic drink there too! One of the big draws at Il Rondo is the big screen TV. On the weekend we were there, lots of men were hanging out watching car racing. Il Rondo is run by Riccardo, the son of the owners of La Romita. Riccardo seemed a bit stand offish when we were there, but the women (one might be a wife or girlfriend?) working there were gracious and friendly. They make great paninis and you can buy a bottle of wine.
One Italian nuance is that you can order a drink and gulp it at the bar, while standing and you pay less than if you take a seat and sip. We enjoyed watching a young man on Saturday doing espresso shots alternated by whiskey. He was very cute, especially in profile, as I recall. Great sightseeing in Montisi!
Gee...after the description of the scenary at Il Rondo, maybe I should sign up to teach a couple more classes!
Thanks for the quick response, Susan.
