Grateful for the learning experience

We're vacationing in Canada and I finished Garlic and vines, which I never did quite get the hang of. I am, however, learning a lot, acquiring some patience, valuing skill over speed, and getting the courage to dare a difficult pattern, which are invaluable lessons on their own. My vest will not be a thing of great beauty when it's done, but I will wear it with pride. Dare I say these are my personal Olympics? On to Roots and Branches! Catherine in College Park

Catherine,
So glad you are enjoying the challenge. It is a bit like the Olympics isn't it--and we always forget how much time practicing those athletes put in--and since it is knitting and I'd be knitting anyway, it is nice to be learning something too!

Everyone can take heart--I'm working on changes to my plan for the fronts to try and make it a little less challenging.
