
I plan to put Ribbed leaves, done in pieces two leaves wide, around the bottom of my vest. This may not appeal to you, and that's fine, but be aware that you may not use them. Don't worry, I'll have alternatives! These are really fun to knit and go pretty quickly once you get going. A couple of hints: 1) When doing the L2dec and R2dec, put your yarn where you need it to do the purl or knit 2tog before moving the stitches around--then you are ready to go when you get them sorted out. 2) This is an excellent time to cable without a needle. If you don't know how, expect to learn in Montisi. 3) If you lose track of which row you are on, count your YO--you need four in the same location to complete a set of 8 rows.
